Biography

I have lived in Ladysmith my entire life and raised my family here. During my nursing career, I worked for the Rusk County Health Department as a Public Health Nurse and Home Care Nurse for 19 years. I was employed by the Ladysmith School District as the district nurse for 15 years. In addition to this, I was a former Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor for Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, now known as Northwood Technical College. I have been with NCA for the past 11 years. Here at NCA, I manage the health records of all students, to include: immunization records, health needs, medication management and follow-up on students general well-being. I do several in-service programs for all staff.

What I Enjoy Most About Working at NCA

Most rewarding are the students and staff at NCA. We are a small family here and look out for one another. I have learned so much from our students who come from all over the world. I love learning about their countries/culture, lifestyles, traditions and health care. It is such a pleasure to see the interactions among the students and staff. Our students love the small town atmosphere, nature, and the changes of the seasons. To see our students succeed in their education here at NCA, enter college, and then pursue their dream job is a statement to our great school!

Fun Facts/Hobbies

My grandchildren keep me busy running to their school and sporting events. I enjoy golf, gardening, reading, travel, and cooking. I love spending time with family and friends.
