Director of Marketing, Admissions & External Affairs

Biography

Since joining NCA in 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in many roles—ESL teacher, resident assistant, administrative assistant, admissions officer, and Director of Technology—before stepping into my current position. Today, I oversee enrollment, outreach, and external affairs, working to help students from near and far find their place at NCA. I’m passionate about fostering a welcoming, supportive experience that carries each student from their very first inquiry all the way through graduation.

What I Enjoy Most About Working at NCA

What I enjoy most about working at North Cedar Academy is the warmth of our community. Our students are incredibly kind and open-hearted—they love meeting one another and sharing perspectives from around the world, and in return, we as staff learn so much from every new student who joins us. I’m also continually inspired by NCA’s can-do spirit and the growth we’ve experienced over the past decade. With six university partnerships (and more on the horizon), a global network of recruitment partners, and a student body eager to engage, we’re always evolving—adapting programs and opportunities to meet students’ interests and future goals.

Fun Facts/Hobbies

I live in Beloit with my partner, Brian, our daughter, Anberlin, and our small menagerie—two cats, Dinah and Raven, and two ferrets, Hobbes and Spiff. While I work remotely most days, I make regular trips to campus and enjoy the drive.

In my own time, I enjoy cooking, container gardening, and exploring a wide variety of PC games. As a family, we love tackling random craft projects, longboarding, playing tabletop games, and spending the day at Six Flags.

Just as food nourishes the body, what we read, watch, and listen to nourishes the mind. It’s worth pausing to take stock of what we’re feeding ourselves.
