Ladysmith, WI — North Cedar Academy is proud to announce that it has been named to the AP® School Honor Roll as a Platinum School for the 2024–25 academic year, the highest level of distinction awarded by the College Board.

This recognition reflects North Cedar Academy’s exceptional commitment to academic rigor, college readiness, and expanding access to Advanced Placement® coursework. The AP School Honor Roll honors schools whose AP programs deliver strong outcomes for students while broadening participation and opportunity.

To earn Platinum status, schools must meet all three of the following benchmarks:

• College-going culture: At least 80% of the Class of 2026 experiences one or more AP courses before graduation
• College credit: At least 50% of the Class of 2026 earns college credit by scoring a 3 or higher on an AP Exam
• College readiness optimization: At least 15% of the Class of 2026 takes a total of five AP courses across their high school years

North Cedar Academy not only met these benchmarks – it exceeded them:

• 80% of the Class of 2026 participated in AP coursework, strengthening the school’s college-going culture
• 80% of the Class of 2026 earned college credit through successful AP Exam performance
• 20% of the Class of 2026 completed five or more AP courses, surpassing the college readiness optimization requirement

These results demonstrate a sustained, school-wide commitment to challenging students academically while ensuring they are supported for success.
