Visiting Local Government Departments

On April 23, seven AP American Government and Politics students from NCA attended the 2025 Rusk County Government Day.

NCA students were joined by students from three local area schools (Bruce, Ladysmith, and Flambeau) for this engaging day of government insight.

Students visited various government departments, including the Register of Deeds, County Treasurer’s Office, Public Health, Forestry, Highway, and Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

Adding to the fun, students interacted with elected officials, took a tour of the jail and 911 dispatch center, attended the afternoon court session, and had an interview with the judge.

Following the government festivities, students enjoyed lunch with local veterans from the American Legion Post 268.
