I grew up in Clintonville, Wisconsin, and lived there until I attended college at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies, and a minor in Geography and Environmental Studies. Fresh out of college, I was unsure of my career path, at first. I spent four years working with animals, specifically working with dogs as a professional dog groomer, and working with exotic species such as California Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Cownose Stingray, and Spotted Eagle Rays.
Working at North Cedar Academy, as the Assistant Director of Admissions, has allowed me to directly relate my career to what I studied in college. In my role, I travel around the world recruiting mature and dedicated students who wish to study at North Cedar Academy. I’ve only been in this position for about three months, but I feel that I have an important and direct impact in the students’ lives. I am typically a student’s first point of contact and serve a huge role in helping a student determine if North Cedar Academy is the right path for them! I often help in the dorms as a substitute Resident Assistant, as well. My favorite part of working at NCA is getting to know each student individually and watching them succeed inside and outside of the classroom.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my cat, Tina. I also enjoy traveling on my own time, spending time with my family, and visiting theme parks across the country!
