North Cedar Academy hosted the regional Rube Goldberg contest today, which challenges teams to make a complicated machine to perform a simple task. The objective this year was to perform a minimum of 20 tasks that resulted in the application of a Band-Aid. Teams from 4 Wisconsin schools participated in the creation of amazing and creative machines that performed for a team of judges and referees. North Cedar Academy was proud to receive 2nd place honors, with first place going to the team from Loyal. Lake Holcombe took 3rd place, while Neillsville created an impressive Super Hero machine but did not place. The schools agreed to make the contest an annual event with each school hosting in turn.
