I was born in Wisconsin and I have a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I graduated from Vanderbilt University of Nashville in 1976 in Molecular Biology. My postdoctoral work was completed at University of Colorado-Denver and at the University of North Carolina. I also taught at Mount Scenario College, the college where North Cedar Academy is now located. I spent 2 years teaching Chemistry to high school teachers while in the Peace Corps in Columbia, South America. I have had many different jobs including farming here in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. I have also been a substitute teacher at local schools until fall of 2018 when I started at North Cedar Academy.
